What time will the parking lot gates open?

 Parking lot gates will open at 10am and close at 8pm Saturday, September 18th and Sunday, September 19th.

What are the box office hours?

The box office will open at 11am and close at 6pm Saturday, September 18th and Sunday, September 19th.

Is camping available at the festival site?

NO
However, camping sites are available (by reservation only) through the Bull Run Regional Park campground, a stones throw away from the Special Events Center. They can be reached at 703-631-0550.

Can I bring my children to the event and will there be anything for them to do?

Absolutely! Children are welcome at the event and there is a large ‘Children’s Area’ with music, performance and play activities.

What does my ‘Designated Driver’ ticket get me?

With a Designated Driver ticket, you will be wristbanded differently and will not be able to taste or purchase wine. There will be 2 marked DD booths on the premises where you can receive complimentary soda, water or sparkling cider.

What are the details on the VIP ticket?

A VIP ticket costs $150 per person per day and includes: 

* VIP backstage access which includes hospitality catering
* VIP onstage seating (when available)
* One bottle of premium Virginia wine
* Complimentary gourmet food basket

What is the “No Worries Single Day Shuttle Pass”?

This is a $20 (+ fees) Single Day Shuttle Pass provided by Washington Wine Academy & Reston Limousine which allows you to park at the Vienna Metro Station and ride a shuttle bus to/ from the festival site. The shuttle will be running hourly from 10am – 6pm. 

Where can I find directions to the Vienna Metro Station?

Please visit the Washington Metro Authority web site at www.wmata.com for directions to the Vienna Metro Station.

It looks like it’s going to rain the entire weekend, and I don’t want to come anymore – can I get a refund?

No – All ticket purchases are final and nonrefundable.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring your ID as well as your ticket if already purchased. The event will be held rain or shine, so rain gear is advised.

Will there be police presence on site?

Yes, there will be off duty police officers on site.

What do I do in case of medical emergency on site?

Medical emergencies are exactly that – THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT to us than your safety and your general well-being. There is one designated FIRST AID area on site, and there are trained medical personnel on site at all times. Please familiarize yourself with these locations as soon as you enter the site. ADDITIONALLY, if there is an emergency, feel free to approach ANY FESTIVAL STAFF or VOLUNTEER. ANYONE carrying a RADIO, driving a GOLF CART, or wearing a STAFF shirt will make it their priority to help. Additionally, our festival attendees are an amazing group of people – please ask for help if you need it.

Will you search my cooler?

YES – we will search your cooler for outside alcohol, which will not be permitted. You may bring water and other outside snacks. Please no glass containers. If you have medical equipment (such as insulin supplies), please inform the security personnel searching your cooler.

Can I bring Pets?

No, please do not bring your pet with you to the event. You will not be able to enter the festival site with your pet.

What if I am too intoxicated to drive?

Please come to the box office and our festival staff would be more than happy to arrange a cab for you from the local Fairfax Yellow Cab Company. You can contact the cab company personally at 703-534-1111. You will be allowed to enter the festival site the following day to get your car.

Can I tape the performances?

YES, unless otherwise announced prior to a specific performance. Taping is on a first come basis in the designated area next to main stage soundboard. PLEASE NOTE: the taping is for personal use only, and you DO NOT have permission to use your taped performances in ANY commercial way.

I am an artisan, concessionaire, winery how early can I come and set up on site?

ALL EXHIBITORS:
Friday setup is mandatory. Saturday will be a very busy day, and it will be much easier to give you the level of service and attention you deserve on Friday rather than during the few hours on Saturday we have before the festival opens to the public at 11am.

WINERIES:
The festival site will be open from 9am-2pm Friday, September 17th for the delivery of case wine to the site and winery setup. You will need to check in at the WINERY CHECK-IN and will then be escorted to your site.

ARTISANS AND CONCESSIONAIRES:
The festival site will be open from 2pm-7pm on Friday, September 17th for delivery and setup.
You will need to check in at the ARTISAN/CONCESSIONAIRE CHECK-IN and then will be escorted to your site.

I am a member of the Press. How do I register for my pass?

Media members, please notify us in advance preferably by calling 888-VA-FESTS (823-3787) ext #8 prior to the week of September 16th. If you do not notify us at least 24 hours prior to the event we may not be able to reserve a close-by parking spot and your entrance into the event may be delayed.

NO PETS, NO UNAUTHORIZED VENDING, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL, NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES, NO EXCEPTIONS!
